Popular Cedar Rapids Restaurant Decides to Close Their Doors

There are many choices when it comes to dining in Cedar Rapids.  We don't rejoice when one of those options decides to close their doors.

In Cedar Rapids, Bo Mac's, at 219 16th Ave SE, a spot known for its hearty meals and warm, welcoming atmosphere, took to Facebook to share the news of its impending closure.

“Hello Cedar Rapids. To quote Jim Morrison, ‘This is the end, Beautiful Friend.’ Bo Mac's will close its doors at the end of Sunday, August 25th. This is life moving forward. Cheers.”

This heartfelt message marks the end of an era for many who have cherished the place. As the final day approaches, the customers have been sharing memories and leaving heartfelt comments on their Facebook page

Like Troy: "This breaks my heart. Can I get your tenderloin recipe:) . You guys are the best . One of our absolute favorites"

Mckenna Wrote: "I love you guys and am so sorry! Our first real date was Bo Mac’s, you are home of the world’s greatest Cobb salad, and you are awesome people!  Best of luck on what’s next"

While Bo Mac’s will no longer serve its familiar dishes, the building remains in their hands.  We look forward to their next step.
