University of Iowa Police have received a report of a person videotaping a female student in one of the campus dorms.

The alleged incident, which happened around 9 Monday night, involved a man videotaping a female student while she was showering in Burge Hall, which is located on North Clinton Street. According to a police news release, the woman confronted the man and left the area.

When police arrived, a suspect was found hiding in a bathroom stall. An altercation followed and the suspect escaped.

Police continue to investigate the incident and if you have any information, you should contact the Public Safety Department at the university at 319-335-5022. Meanwhile, residents of Burge Hall should continue to report any suspicious activity and police also say that the university will be changing all mechanical doors on shower locks in the dorm.

This is the third report of sexual misconduct at the University of Iowa this month and the fifth in the last three-and-a-half weeks.
