Fans of craft beer in the state of Iowa have been dealt a blow. One of Iowa's oldest and most popular brewing companies has announced that they will soon stop production of all of their popular products.

KCCI reports that Peace Tree Brewing Company, a popular craft brewery and taproom in Central Iowa, has announced that it will end its brewing operations after a nearly 15-year run. The company made the announcement in a social media post on Tuesday night. In that post, Peace Tree stated that they will be wrapping up production and distribution operations in the next few weeks. You will still be able to buy their products in stores but only while supplies last. Once they're gone, they're gone for good.

While brewing operations are set to end, KCCI reports that Peace Tree will keep open their taprooms in both Knoxville and Des Moines. They will feature a lineup of guest taps once the Peace Tree products are gone.

Peace Tree was an award-winning brewery, taking home gold medals for brews including Blonde Fatale and Get a Little Hazy. Megan McKay, the owner and founder of Peace Tree, put the business up for sale in late 2023, according to Little Village Magazine. It is unclear at this time if the business has been sold.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
