Need FREE Eclipse Glasses? Just Head To These Public Libraries
We're still more than one week away from the solar eclipse but it seems like everyone is making plans. There are viewing parties being scheduled and families, including mine, are getting excited to share the experience. One thing you need to view the eclipse safely is viewing glasses. There have been many stories going around of fake glasses that could still allow damage to be done to your eyes if you were to use them. Fortunately, public libraries in Iowa are stepping up to help.
The group StarNet has distributed eclipse viewing glasses to many public libraries across the country. You can check out a map of Iowa libraries HERE. If your town's library isn't listed, you may want to give them a call and see if they have glasses available.
I called the Marion Public Library and they said that they will begin handing out their supply of eclipse glasses starting Monday, August 14th. Get your glasses and get ready for an amazing experience on August 21st!
