Marion Woman will Pay Off her Mortgage after Big Iowa Lottery Win

We all have things that we dream of doing should we ever win a huge lottery prize. A new car, a dream vacation, paying for our kids to go to college. But perhaps no dream is bigger than buying a house. Or how about just paying off the one you're living in? A Liinn County woman recently saw her lottery dreams come true!

According to a press release from the Iowa Lottery, Linda Chesmore of Marion recently hit it big playing the Iowa Lottery's $500,000 CA$H game. How big? Linda hit the 10th top prize handed out by the Iowa Lottery for this scratch game. A prize of $500,000! Linda claimed her prize last week at the Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive. Here is her winning ticket!

Linda purchased her winning ticket at the Marion Hy-Vee store. The $500,000 CA$H game is a $50 scratch-off ticket that features prizes ranging from $50 up to $500,000. I can't imagine how Linda felt when she scratched that ticket and won half a million dollars!

So what is Linda going to do with all that money? According to the Iowa Lottery press release, she is going to pay off her mortgage and remodel her house. Now that is living the dream. She is also going to use some of the funds to invest for her retirement. Congratulations Linda!
