The fourth victim who was beaten with a metal pipe at a residence north of Robins had died.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that 34-year-old Brent Anthony Brown was hospitalized after being severely beaten in the attack. His Father, Lon Brown, who told the Gazette he owns the property where the attack happened, stated the tests last week showed his son had no brain activity. The Linn County Sheriff's Office confirmed the news in a press release.

The suspect in the case, 34-year-old Luke Wade Truesdell of Marion, now faces four counts of first-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in court today. The Gazette reports that Truesdell gave authorities several motives for the attacks including that the murders could be made into a movie. Authorities say that Truesdell was found at the scene of the murders and admitted that he hit the four victims with a metal pipe. The relationships between the victims and the accused attacker have not been revealed.

Linn County Sheriff's deputies responded just before 4 p.m. last Wednesday to 3699 East Otter Road near Marion after a witness discovered the four injured victims, according to the Gazette. The three other victims who died included 26-year-old Keonna Victoria Ryan, 44-year-old Romondus Lamar Cooper, and 33-year-old Amanda Sue Parker.
