Sometimes someone or some entity run by someone asks for your input on how they run things, and how you think they've been doing.  They want to know things like whether they should expand or if they did expand where should they go?

An opportunity is presenting itself.

A unique opportunity has offered itself up through the City of Marion.  Marion claims they are one of the fastest-growing cities in the Midwest and for that reason, the Marion Fire Department is looking to guide the future of emergency medical services with your input.

When can you voice your opinion?

The Marion Fire Department is asking residents and community members to attend an open house where this topic will be presented.  The date of the forum is Wednesday, September 18th from 5 to 7 at Fire Station No. 1, located at 100 Irish Drive, Marion.  Representatives of the Public Consulting Group will be on hand to gather data and answer questions regarding an emergency medical services study.

What if you can't make it?

The City of Marion knows you may already have plans and still encourages you to participate in an online survey.  They're interested in knowing about expectations when it comes to ambulance dispatch & response to arrival at a hospital setting.  The link is provided here and will be available through the city of Marion until 5 pm on September 30, 2024.

If you're looking for quick answers, well, that is not going to happen.  The data gathered has to be analyzed then they have to issue a final report which is expected to be completed by February 2025.
