The worlds of country and soul will meet once again when Luke Combs and Leon Bridges team up for a new episode of CMT Crossroads.

The network has announced that the burgeoning country star and acclaimed soul and R&B singer will join forces for an episode of the show leading up to the 2018 CMT Awards and CMA Music Festival. Fans can look forward to hearing Combs' trailblazing hits "Hurricane," "When it Rains in Pours" and "One Number Away," in addition to Bridges' own breakthrough tracks like "Coming Home" and "Smooth Sailin.'" There will also be new music from each star.

Bridges' classic and soulful sound has earned him two albums that cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard 200including his critically acclaimed debut album Coming Home, which was also nominated for Best R&B Album at the 2016 Grammy Awards. His hit song "River," which was featured in Big Little Lies, also received a Grammy nod for Best Music Video in 2017.

Combs has established himself as one of country music's most promising rising acts. His debut album, This One's For You, scored him the most successful debut album for a new country artist in 2017 after it peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

CMT Crossroads won't be the first time Bridges has marked his territory in the country world. He co-wrote and sings with Kacey Musgraves on the original Christmas song "Present Without a Bow," which is featured on her holiday album A Very Kacey Christmas. 

Combs and Bridges' episode of CMT Crossroads will tape on Tuesday, June 5 at 8:30PM CT at the corner of 5th Avenue and Demonbreun in downtown Nashville. The taping is free and open to the public. The episode is slated to air on June 28 at 10PM ET.
