Country superstar and American Idol judge, Luke Bryan, announced his 2019 Farm Tour. Yeehaw! And the best news is that one of the dates is just a short road trip away from the Corridor.

If you're not familiar with the Farm Tour, it's basically exactly how it sounds. It's a concert series put on by the "Knockin' Boots" singer that visits six small farming communities. According to The Boot, the short tour began in 2009 and "has brought Bryan's big show to small-town fans, and helped the country singer award more than 50 students from farming families in those communities with college scholarships." That's pretty awesome. It makes sense for Luke to give back to the farming communities especially since he was a farm boy himself, who grew up on a peanut farm in Georgia.

Luke made the big announcement via his Instagram. Those six lucky towns and their dates are as follows:

  • Sept. 26: Marshall, Wisc. @ Statz Bros. Farms
  • Sept. 27: Richland, Mich. @ Stafford Farms
  • Sept. 28: Pleasantville, Ohio @ Miller Family Farms
  • Oct. 3: Louisburg, Kan. @ MC Farms
  • Oct. 4: Douglass, Kan. @ Flying B Ranch
  • Oct. 5: Norman, Okla. @ Adkins Farm

You'll notice that the very first show date is in Marshall, WI-- that's only a few hours away! All of you country girls and guys here in Iowa better be ready to kick the dust up on September 26 and roll over to Wisconsin to drink a beer and have a one of a kind night.

There are a lot of things that can make you "country", and listening to some good 'ole country music in the middle of a corn field on a farm is definitely one of them. See ya there!
