An Eastern Iowa Pizza Farm is One of the Coolest in the Midwest

When it comes to wood-fired pizza, there's a farm in Decorah that does it right!

The site Midwest Living has an article titled, 'Enjoy a Taste of the Midwest at These Cool Pizza Farms,' and there's one in Eastern Iowa that made the list! It's called Luna Valley Farm, and it's located 3012 Middle Sattre Rd in Decorah. The article says:

"Locals and visitors alike head to Luna Valley Farm, just 15 minutes northeast of Decorah, to try artisan creations like Peachy Pig starring juicy peaches, bacon and fig balsamic glaze. Pair with locally crafted beer from one of Decorah's many breweries like award-winning Toppling Goliath Brewing Company or try non-alcoholic sodas from Spring Grove Soda."

One of the cool things about the pizza at Luna Valley Farm is they they use locally-sourced ingredients, like mushrooms, pepperoni, veggies, herbs, edible flowers, sausage, cheese, and honey. They even tell you where each of the local ingredients come from! The menu varies from week to week, but the farm always offers a gluten-free cauliflower crust and a vegan option for those with dietary restrictions. Each pizza is 16” and serves two to three people.

If you'd like to check out one of the 2024 pizza nights at Luna Valley Farm, reservations are required. They can be made starting at noon the Monday before the upcoming weekend HERE, and you place your pizza order at the time of the reservation. Payment for the pizza is accepted at the time of pick-up. Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted.

As far as seating goes, the farm has picnic table seating for 150 guests, but spots fill up quick. It is recommended that you bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets. Many guests will also bring plates, silverware, napkins, and salads or desserts to enjoy with their meal. BYOB and pets are NOT permitted. Beer and wine are sold on-site.
