It's a short drive from Cedar Rapids to get one of the best tenderloins in Iowa, or anywhere for that matter.

Joensy's Restaurant is under new, but familiar ownership. Jeannie and Doug Jones are selling the business to longtime employees Dan and Deb Klouda.

A Facebook post has more information, saying in part "we hope you will continue to frequent Joensy’s as much as we plan to. We are so thankful for all that Joensy’s has given us. "

To prove how popular their tenderloin is, the now-former owners told the Gazette they sell at least 1,000 of them a week.

Best of luck to the longtime Joensy's owners of over 20 years, and the new owners who say we can expect a seamless transition of the restaurant into the future.

I go to Joensy's at least twice a month. It's worth the trip, for the comfort food, friendly service that looks to continue for years to come.
