2020 may be a disaster of a year, but at least there are plenty of snacks!

According to People, Lay's is launching five new flavors of chips later this month, and each one is based off of an iconic food from a different region of the country. Here are those five flavors:

  • Nashville Hot Chicken - inspired by Party Fowl in Nashville
  • Philly Cheesesteak - inspired by Geno's Steaks in Philadelphia
  • Chile Relleno - inspired by Cocina Azul in Albuquerque
  • Kettle Cooked New York Style Pizza - inspired by Grimaldi's in New York City
  • Wavy Carnitas Street Taco - inspired by El Torito in Los Angeles

The article says that all of the new flavors will officially hit grocery stores nationwide on July 13th, but you'll only be able to purchase the Chile Relleno flavor at Walmart or 7-11 locations. Out of all the new chips, the ones I'd be most likely to try are the Nashville Hot Chicken and the Kettle Cooked New York Style Pizza.

Lay's must be hard at work, because these five chip flavors aren't the only new ones that have been unveiled in 2020. Earlier this year we saw Cheddar Jalapeno, Kettle Cooked Flamin’ Hot, and Lay’s Poppables Sea Salt & Vinegar hit shelves. I haven't tried any of them personally, but the Cheddar Jalapeno sounds pretty darn good!

Lay's is my favorite brand of chips because they're always creating new and interesting flavors. Some of their past limited edition flavors that I've enjoyed are Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup, Bacon Mac & Cheese, Deep Dish Pizza, and Southern Biscuits & Gravy.

Would you try any of the five new Lay's flavors? Let us know in the comments!
