A Cedar Rapids Animal Rescue Needs Your Help

We recently told you how to donate and obtain a free box fan to keep your cool in the contining hot weather. But the animals are in need too.

That's why Last Hope Animal Rescue in Cedar Rapids needs your help.

Last Hope, located at 1823 16th Ave. SW, is asking for donations of oscillating fans. Like most homes and businesses in Eastern Iowa, the shelter's air conditioning unit has been running almost constantly. Unfortunately, theirs is now having difficulty keeping up with the heat and as a non-profit charity organization, it's more difficult for them to maintain it.

The animals at Last Hope need your help, so if you can offer up an oscillating fan for donation, just take it to their shelter, or find them on Facebook and make contact to make an appointment to have it picked up.
