Lady Antebellum teamed up with pop star Halsey for a very special mashup during the 2019 CMA Awards. The two acts performed Lady A's current single, "What If I Never Get Over You," mashed up with Halsey's current single, "Graveyard," on Wednesday night (Nov. 13).

Lady Antebellum opened the song, singing the first verse and chorus of "What If I Never Get Over You," before Halsey joined them on the next verse and chorus, culminating in a powerful five part harmony. As the song end, the singers transitioned to Halsey's "Graveyard," with Lady Antebellum adding their signature layered harmonies to the song.

A surprise guest for the performance was Jerry Douglas, the 14-time Grammy Award winning guitarist, who accompanied Lady A and Halsey on the resonator.

Halsey's 2019 CMA Awards performance wasn't her first foray into country music: In October, she joined forced with Kelsea Ballerini for an episode of CMT Crossroads.

Lady Antebellum are gearing up for a brand-new album, which features "What If I Never Get Over You," due out on Friday (Nov. 15). Ocean will be the country trio's first release on Big Machine Label Group, after signing a new deal with the label in late 2018.

Lady Antebellum received a nomination for Vocal Group of the Year at the 2019 CMA Awards. It's a category they've won a few times in years past.
