Kirkwood Men Reach The NJCAA D-II Final Four

March Madness is underway and one Eastern Iowa basketball team is already in the Final Four! The Kirkwood men's basketball team advanced to the NJCAA D-II Final Four with an 89-83 overtime win over Louisburg, N.C. Wednesday. The Eagles defense led the way forcing 19 turnovers which led to 12 points.

Louisburg tied the game in regulation on a 3 point shot with just 30 seconds left. Kirkwood missed several shots for the win, but the Eagles would never trail in the overtime period. Nick Richards led Kirkwood with 22 points.

Next up for the 29-4 Eagles is 28-4 Essex County N.J. Game time is Friday evening at 6 pm. A win would put Kirkwood in the NJCAA D-II National Championship game.
