The black and gold of the University of Iowa will be making a short trip north next week.

The I-Club and University of Iowa Athletics present an evening with the Hawkeyes Wednesday, June 19 at NewBo City Market. Special guests include:

  • Iowa football coach, Kirk Ferentz. The all-time winningest football coach at Iowa, Ferentz is entering his 21st season at the helm, the longest tenured head coach in the FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision).
  • Iowa men's basketball coach Fran McCaffery. He's entering his tenth season at Iowa with a record of 425-309.
  • Iowa radio play-by-play announcer, Gary Dolphin, will be the emcee for the night. This fall will mark Dolphin's 23rd season behind the microphone for Iowa football games.
University of Iowa Health Care and Community Education Programs
  • Iowa head rowing coach, Andrew Carter. He's entering his seventh season at the helm of the women's rowing team.

Other coaches will be in attendance along with some student-athletes, Herky the Hawk, and Iowa Spirit Squad members. The event will be held Wednesday, June 19 from 5:30 to 7 pm. NewBo City Market is located at 1100 3rd St. SE in Cedar Rapids.
