KHAK’s ‘Teacher of the Week’ — March 3rd

Every week we honor another awesome teacher in the local area with our ‘Teacher of the Week’ award!

Congratulations to Heather Plathe, a teacher at Washington Elementary in Mount Vernon! She is this week’s ‘Teacher of the Week!” She was nominated by Janet Huebner, and here’s what she had to say:

"Mrs. Plathe had my son last year for 4th grade. Not only did she prepare him very well for 5th grade and middle school but she was a God send for him and our family. After a couple of years of struggling and not enjoying school he was excited to learn again! She gave him confidence and encouraged him in his talents. I will never forget the change I saw in my son from the very first week in her classroom."
