Keystone is Home to Our Latest KHAK ‘Teacher of the Week’

It's a Friday, which means it's time for us to honor another great Eastern Iowa teacher!

This week's 'Teacher of the Week' winner is Samantha Happel, a first-grade teacher at Keystone Elementary School in Keystone! She was nominated by Holly Hase. The entry says:

"Sam is a first-grade teacher in the building in which I work. When I am in her room, her compassion and enthusiasm for learning are contagious. Her students adore her, model her behavior, and cannot wait to take on what the day holds for them. Sam is particularly talented because she considers the WHOLE child. She knows how they learn, makes them feel safe, and shows them they can do anything. Sam is also a mama to 3 amazing kids, runs marathons, and shows horses. Given all that, she still finds time to prep for her lessons at night and over the weekends."

For being such a wonderful teacher, Samantha is going to receive a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon & Eatery and Half Price Books.
