This year marked 30 years since the disappearance of Iowa news anchor Jodi Huisentruit. The case remains unsolved, puzzling investigators to this day. Now, a person of interest in her disappearance has been tied to a murder in a neighboring state.

Who Abducted Jodi Huisentruit?

Investigators haven't been able to make an arrest in the case. Jodi went missing on June 27th, 1995. At the time, she was the morning news anchor for KIMT in Mason City, Iowa. She never made it to work that morning.

When police arrived at the scene, they found her car in the parking lot of her apartment complex and items left behind in what appeared to be a struggle. Jodi was officially declared dead in 2001, even though her body has yet to be found.

New Documentary Brings New Attention to the Case

ABC News released a docuseries about the Jodi Huisentruit case this past July. The show featured interviews with police, family members, friends, and also introduced many viewers to suspects in Jodi's disappearance. One of those people has just been tied to another murder in Minnesota.

Who is Christopher Revak?

Revak was featured as a person of interest in the docuseries about the disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit. Investigators say that he was dating a woman who lived around the corner from Jodi at the time. While that is all officials have to tie Revak to Huisentruit, it is the other crimes that he has been tied to that make many wonder if he is responsible for Jodi.

ABC6 reports that Revak has now been deemed responsible for the 2006 death of a Wisconsin woman. Authorities this week stated that Revak is responsible for the death of Diedre Harm, a Wisconsin Rapids woman who went missing in 2006 before being found dead.

KY3 also reports that Revak is accused of killing an Ava, Missouri woman in 2007, and law enforcement in that state believes that he may have been a serial killer.

Could Revak Be Responsible for Jodi Huisentruit's Death?

ABC6 reports that, despite Mason City Police dismissing Revak as a suspect in 2009, MCPD officials have traveled to Wisconsin to see new information about Revak.

Christopher Revak never saw the inside of a courtroom. He took his own life in jail after being arrested in 2009.
