Iowa Brewery Named the Best Brewpub in the US

USA Today released this year's list of the top 10 best brewpubs in the country. Sadly, no Minnesota spots made the list, but there's a brewery in Iowa that took the top spot! There was also a Wisconsin brewery that made the list, too, so we'll highlight them as well.

The Best Brewery in the US

This is part of many lists that USA Today comes out with as part of their 10Best lists.

What they did is they came out with a big list of breweries from across the country that their team determined to be some of the best. From there, we got to vote for the ones that eventually made the top 10.

The Best Brewery in Wisconsin

Let's shoutout the Wisconsin brewery that made the list first, which is Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee. They came in at number 8 on the list.

Not only are they a brewery, they also have a full food menu. Their restaurant is called Beer Hall and they serve up some classic staples to pair with beer, like brats, fried pickles, and cheese curds.

The Best Brewery in Iowa

But of course we want to know which Iowa brewery is the one that took the top spot as the best brewpub in the entire country!

That brewery would be Lua Brewing in Des Moines.

They're a microbrewery and restaurant. USA Today writes that they are known for their "innovative craft beers and a diverse menu, from smashburgers and fried pickles to house-harvested caviar and tofu bites."

Good thing I have family in the Des Moines area, I've got a great excuse to go check this place out sometime!
