If you were at the Luke Bryan Farm Tour this year, you may have had the opportunity to explore the partnership the show had with Farmland. But if you weren’t, the impact that partnership had on Iowa continues to be present.

Farmland recently launched its second year of its Honoring the Heartland Tour which invests in the next generation of agricultural leaders, shows farming communities appreciation, and supports Midwest neighborhoods with protein-rich donations.

This week, two Iowa organizations were the focus of the tour’s stop.

In September, Heartland’s partnership with the National Pork Board, Iowa Pork Producers Association, and Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour teamed up and donated 30,000 pounds of protein to the Food Bank of Iowa says an article in Ag Daily.

The tour also donated a total of 1 million servings of protein to food banks in Nebraska, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Minnesota.

In addition to the donation made to the Iowa Foodbank, Farmland also made a donation to the Iowa FFA Association to support its mission.

During the presentation at the Food Bank of Iowa, Farmland also presented Iowa FFA with a $9,000 donation in support of FFA’s mission to develop 18,600 students’ potential for leadership, growth, and career success.

Throughout the tour, Farmland will donate $150,000 to the National FFA Organization and local FFA chapters.

Another way Farmland is helping students in Iowa is through its recently launched grant program. The Farmland FFA Heartland Grant Program will provide students in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri with $20,000 in financial support via grants valued at $1,000 each.
