It's an Oktoberfest Weekend Here in Iowa!

Looking for a fun way to kick off the month of October? There are multiple Oktoberfest events taking place this coming weekend! Here is a rundown of all the festivities:

Amana Oktoberfest
- Held in the Amana Colonies on October 5th, 6th, & 7th
- Admission is $10 for a one-day pass or $15 for a two-day pass - Sunday is FREE
- Official Keg Tapping Ceremony
  - October 5th at 2 p.m. in the Festhalle Barn
- Parade
  - October 6th at 10 a.m.
- Games/Contests
  - Timber Trek
    - Amana RV Park & Event Center
    - October 6th at 12 p.m.
    - Obstacle trail run through the timber - 4.8 miles

  - Brezel Schmeissen
    - Festhalle Barn
    - October 6th at 12:45 p.m.
    - "Fun team competition involving pretzels & head plungers"
  - Brat Eating Contest
    - Festhalle Barn
    - October 6th at 2 p.m.
    - $15 to enter
  - Keg Toss, Log Sawing Competition, & Nagelhauen
    - Market Barn
    - October 6th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  - Eisenmann Competition
    - Market Barn
    - October 6th at 4 p.m.

Adventureland Oktoberfest
- Held at Adventureland in Altoona on October 6th from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Must be 21+
- $40 per ticket (includes a can of Sam Adam's Octoberfest and parking) - get yours HERE

  - Pork Tornadoes
    - Main Stage at 4:15 p.m.

Ottumwa Oktoberfest
- Held at the Jimmy Jones Shelter at Ottumwa Park
  - October 3rd from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  - October 4th from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  - October 5th from 11 a.m. to midnight
  - October 6th from 11 a.m. to midnight
- Parades
  - Kiddie Parade
    - Church Street
    - October 5th at 6 p.m.
  - Oktoberfest Parade
    - Downtown Ottumwa
    - October 6th at 10 a.m.

2018 Burlington Noon Lions Oktoberfest
- Held at Community Field in Burlington on October 6th from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
