It’s an Oktoberfest Weekend Here in Iowa!

Looking for a fun way to kick off the month of October? There are multiple Oktoberfest events taking place this coming weekend! Here is a rundown of all the festivities:

• Amana Oktoberfest
  • Held in the Amana Colonies on October 5th, 6th, & 7th
  • Admission is $10 for a one-day pass or $15 for a two-day pass - Sunday is FREE
  • Official Keg Tapping Ceremony
    • October 5th at 2 p.m. in the Festhalle Barn
  • Parade
    • October 6th at 10 a.m.

    • Timber Trek
      • Amana RV Park & Event Center
      • October 6th at 12 p.m.
      • Obstacle trail run through the timber - 4.8 miles

      • "Fun team competition involving pretzels & head plungers"
    • Brat Eating Contest

  • Held at Adventureland in Altoona on October 6th from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Must be 21+
