Iowa football fans normally eat up bowl game tickets to see their beloved Hawkeyes play. But this year's date at the Pinstripe Bowl in New York City has been a tougher sell than normal.

According to the University of Iowa, the school has only sold around 13% of it's allotted tickets for the December 27th game at Yankee Stadium. The school was given 7500 tickets to sell to fans and player guests. As of Sunday, only around 2,000 have been spoken for with 1,000 of those sold to the public.

A Pinstripe Bowl representative was at the Iowa men's basketball game on Sunday talking to the public and the media about the game. He said that the game is still selling and that they are confident that the game will still grow among Iowa fans.

The Pinstripe Bowl is December 27th at Yankee Stadium as Iowa takes on Boston College.
