Iowans Celebrate ‘National Selfie Day!’ [PHOTOS]

Ah, selfies! Some people love them and some people hate them, but no matter what your opinion is, one thing stands true: with the right lighting and angles, selfies are some of the most flattering photos you can take!

When front-facing cameras were introduced to smartphones back in 2010, the selfie game was changed forever. I remember trying to take selfies on my digital camera when I was in high school, and it was a whole process. This was one of my digital camera selfies from Bible Camp back in 2007 (I was 16!):

There was a point in time where I was posting selfies on Instagram on a weekly basis, but I don't do it very often anymore. That doesn't mean I NEVER do it, though! One of my favorite selfies of all time was from the Tri-State Rodeo back in 2015. It was my first time meeting Brett Eldredge and he grabbed my phone to take a photo of us. I just about died!
