Happy (almost) National Pancake Day!

For the past 17 years, IHOP locations across the country have been celebrating National Pancake Day by giving away pancakes. 2023 is no exception! This Tuesday, February 28th, anyone can walk into an IHOP restaurant and enjoy a short stack of buttermilk pancakes... FOR FREE!

Taking part in in National Pancake Day at IHOP is actually very simple. Find a participating location near you, and then visit between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to order your free pancakes. Only dine-in customers will be able to take part in the promotion. Kieran Donahue, the Chief Marketing Officer at IHOP, said in the press release:

“IHOP's National Pancake Day is a holiday we look forward to celebrating with our guests as an annual tradition, and we are spreading even more joy this year by adding the chance to earn loyalty rewards through our International Bank of Pancakes."

The International Bank of Pancakes is IHOP's free rewards program. When you sign up for the program, you'll be rewarded with a free stack of five pancakes after your first purchase, plus you're eligible for exclusive offers and menu items, as well as free pancakes for your birthday. On National Pancake Day, members will receive double the rewards points, aka PanCoins, for an additional menu purchases. You can register for the program HERE.

Here in Eastern Iowa, there are few IHOP locations that you can visit to claim your free pancakes. They include:

  • 2545 Edgewood Rd SW, Cedar Rapids
  • 502 Brandilynn Blvd, Cedar Falls

We called two other locations to confirm their participation (2009 Crossroads Blvd in Waterloo and 2435 James St in Coralville), but did not get an answer.
