Iowa Nurses Send Powerful Visual Message: “Stay Home For Us”

I'm not going to lie. This picture brought tears to my eyes. It's a group of nurses from the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City. Their message? We Stay at Work for You. Please Stay Home for Us.

You may not be able to see their faces, but those seven people are a handful of the heroes dealing with an unthinkable situation in their daily lives. One that will likely get busier and busier for them in the coming weeks if we don't practice what they preach with those signs. Stay at home if you can and if you must go out, practice social distancing, washing your hands, and disinfect often.

The Facebook post the photograph appears on (below) also says "Help us spread the word of COVID-19 by staying home. We all have an important role in this effort."

Thank you to all the men and women all across our state that continue to wage the battle for all of us. We'll never be able to say thank you enough.
