Iowa Native Jay Allen is Coming to Cedar Rapids This Summer
Up and coming country artist and Iowa native Jay Allen will be making a stop in Downtown Cedar Rapids this summer!
You may remember Jay Allen for his heartbreaking song "Blank Stares," which went viral last year. He wrote the song for his mother who was suffering from Alzheimer’s, and he sang the song directly to her at the First Avenue Club in Iowa City last August while opening up for Chris Lane. His mom has since passed away, but he still continues to raise awareness and funds for the National Alzheimer’s Association.
Jay has opened for several other notable country artists, including Jake Owen, Granger Smith, Josh Turner, and Rodney Adkins. He actually just opened up for LoCash last weekend at Q Casino in Dubuque! He won't be opening for anybody here in Cedar Rapids, though - Jay Allen will be headlining Hazzard County Saloon on Thursday, August 29th!
General admission pre-sale tickets are available now for only $10 - get yours HERE!
Opening up for Jay will be another Iowa artist by the name of Adam Keith. You can read more about him HERE.
