Congratulations to the Grandview Little League baseball team from the Des Moines area.

The team is representing Iowa in the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, they lost their first game on Thursday afternoon. The good news is, they have another chance!

After briefly leading in the game, they ended up losing to a Staten Island, New York team 5-2. The players from Grandview will play again Saturday at 2 p.m. on KCRG in an elimination game against Coventry, Rhode Island.

We're pulling for them even harder in this game, because it's two strikes and they're out. A loss this weekend means they're out of title contention, but will still play a third/consolation game, according to LLWS tournament rules.

Win or lose, these young men are making Iowa proud and learning life lessons beyond the scoreboard. Go get 'em, boys!
