The 'Iowa Wave' will enter its third season at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City this fall, and now it has its own song, called "We Wave." It was written by Dalles Jacobus, junior defensive lineman (#66) on the Iowa football team, and a graduate of Cedar Rapids Kennedy. Jacobus performed it over the weekend at the "Beyer Bash," according to a Facebook post from Kim Beyer Olson.

The song captures game day eloquently and seamlessly transitions into the Iowa Wave with the lyrics,

Our biggest fans are up above, yeah looking over our shoulders...

You see 'em waitin' patiently for the end of the first quarter...

When we wave to the kids that cannot play...

With a big smile on their face every football Saturday...

Yeah, we wave to help those kids let go...

Give the parents a little hope to bring those kids back home...

Yeah, we wave...

Dalles says at the beginning of the video that it's his first original song. If "We Wave" is any indication, it won't be the last song we hear from Dalles Jacobus. Very nicely done, Dalles. SO good.
