Iowa DOT Needs PT Snow Plow Drivers, is That You?
When the snow starts, I know two things are happening, or, at least they used to. When I first got into radio, I had friends on the regular who pushed snow and would call me and ask what the weather or traffic was going to be like. How do I know?
I am no traffic guru. I can't remember street names, and I'll eventually get ya there, but it'll be by way of landmarks. Now that apps handle the weather, they do not need to call me to tell them I have no idea and to watch the weather channel or something.
So, lucky me, no more calls from snow pushers! Wrong! They call for entertainment now. I spin a good yarn, but speaking of pushing snow, ya ever thought about doing it?
My buddy John had a big truck with the plow hook-up. I rode with him a couple of times shoving snow here and there and I never got tired of it. Always something new and different.
