Casey's pizza, anyone? Here in Iowa, it's more of a lunch or dinner tradition than a question. But outside the Midwest (yes, I consider Oklahoma to be a non-Midwestern state) it's just a growing trend. One that's about to grow QUICKLY.

Casey's, which is based in Ankeny, announced that it's acquiring 49 Circle K stores in the state of Oklahoma. The website C Store Decisions reports the Iowa-based convenience stores will begin the rebranding of the Circle K name by the end of July 31 of this year, when the fiscal quarter ends. Casey's also operates a newly opened distribution center in Joplin, Missouri and that will be where the new Oklahoma stores receive their shipments.

These won't be the first Casey's to appear in the state of Oklahoma. In 2020, Casey's expanded into Oklahoma City and are now in a grand total of 16 states with over 2,100 locations. Many smaller, rural communities rely on Casey's to be more than a gas station. They carry food and enough groceries that customers don't need to drive to the nearest 'big' city to take care of shopping needs. Casey's is now based in Ankeny, Iowa but was founded Boone, in 1967. Grocery chain Fareway was also founded in Boone and remains headquartered there.
