Iowa-Based Blue Bunny Issues Recall for Thousands of Ice Cream Tubs

An Iowa-based ice cream company has recalled thousands of tubs of ice cream due to a possible contamination.

KCRG reports that the voluntary recall was initiated by Wells Enterprises Inc. The recall is for over 17,000 tubs of ice cream and frozen yogurt in 22 different flavors. The product was sent out to 103 distribution centers across the United States.

Why Was the Ice Cream Recalled?

According to KCRG, Blue Bunny recalled the product due to plastic possibly being introduced into the product during its preparation. All of the recalled ice cream and frozen yogurts are in three-gallon tubs and have an expiration date ranging between March and October 2026.
