Sunday brought fans of all 14 Big Ten programs together in Chicago for the Big Ten 10K, with Bill Murray acting as grand marshal. It was all a fundraiser for ALIVE Rescue, a Chicago non-profit that rescues and shelters animals.

It was a gorgeous morning in the Windy City for the event, which was run near Soldier Field and Lake Michigan. After Sunday morning's races ended, there was a Tailgate Party with all the Big Ten cheerleaders and mascots and a group of Iowa fans got together for a special moment.

The fans gathered in front of Cloud Gate in Millennium Park for the Chicago Iowa Club wave to the kids in the children's hospital in Iowa City. The sculpture is known far and wide as The Bean, as you can certainly understand from its shape. It was a very cool moment you can watch below and HERE.

Please join us in doing an extra special wave to the kids at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital this Thursday and Friday. Your wave, this time, is actually a monetary donation. Brain and Courtlin will be hosting KHAK's 22nd Annual Children's Miracle Network Radiothon from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and again from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Tune in to hear the stories and you'll be able to donate here on our website as well as by phone at (800)-456-2772.

Listen to the Radiothon live Thursday and Friday on 98.1 KHAK, the K-Hawk app, and Alexa... and THANK YOU for helping care for the kids and families.
