To say that I'm proud that Hailey Whitters is from Iowa, would be an understatement. The Shueyville, Iowa native has been in Nashville for a while now. And she has found success as a songwriter for artists like Little Big Town, Alan Jackson, and Martina McBride. Her songwriting is heartfelt and pure. Whitters has an album of her own coming out later this year called The Dream. And she is finally getting the attention as an artist that she deserves!

Several months ago Whitters released the song 'Ten Year Town', a somber, reflective piece on her time in Nashville trying to make it big. It struck a chord in the country music community and artists from Maddie and Tae to Brothers Osborne have expressed how Whitters deserves to make it big.

Soon after that, Whitters released the song 'The Days'. This thing has country radio hit written all over it. It talks about not worrying so much about life and enjoying all the days that you have left. Make everyday count. When Whitters sings it, it just sounds like it should be easy and natural to do.

The official music video for 'The Days' was released today. It has Whitters showing everyone the little things in life that matter. Family, relationships, love, people. Take the time to make them count.

Hailey Whitters is making her time count. It's time we all listened.
