Was This Iowa Dad Living a Double Life as a Serial Killer?
When a child accuses her own father of beng a serial killer, the authorities take notice. But are the accusations true? Did her father actually kill anyone? A new documentary looks at the evidence in the case of Donald Dean Studey.
Was Donald Dean Studey a Killer?
The Des Moines Register reports that a new docuseries will debut this month that will look at the case of Donald Dean Studey. In 2022, Lisa Studey McKiddy, his daughter, accused her father of murdering more than 50 women while she was growing up in rural Iowa. Among her claims, is that she helped dispose of the bodies, some of which were tossed down a well on their property.
Other Siblings Say Accusations Are Not True
The Register reports that the other Studey children deny the accusations, and say that McKiddy is estranged from the family. After she made the accusations, police, the FBI, and crime scene investigators conducted searches on the property in December of 2022. After the investigation, the Iowa DCI stated that no remains and no evidence was found, according to the Register.
New Docuseries Debuts This Month
After watching the trailer, this is a family torn in two, with one side defending their father, and the other convinced he was pure evil. I for one, plan on watching and making my own mind up.
"My Killer: The Green Hollow Murders" will air on Paramount+ on Tuesday, April 28th. All three episodes will be available to stream.
