If your Thin Mint addiction is getting hard to control, you're in luck. Girl Scout cookie sales start today and last through March 20th. I've been a fan of the cookies for years, but this year my daughters Carly and Cayleigh will be selling the treats themselves. Will I be tempted to dip into their inventory? Yes. But the importance of what they're doing and learning should keep my temptations at bay.

Cookie sales are used as a teaching moment. It teaches girls responsibility. It offers lessons in money management. You get to work on your social skills and see the benefits of setting and reaching goals. Oh yeah. And you get to sell delicious cookies! Plus all the money raised stays local!
