Fuzzy’s Taco Shop Now Open In Cedar Rapids [PHOTOS]

As with any new restaurant opening in Cedar Rapids, the line at Fuzzy's Taco Shop in Cedar Rapids stretched out the door Wednesday evening. The new Mexican restaurant officially opened to the public yesterday and Holly and I checked it out last night for dinner.

The Cedar Rapids Fuzzy's is located 901 Blairs Ferry Road next to Natural Grocers and Axel's Sports Grill. As with any new restaurant opening, both the staff and customers were getting familiar with the menu. I had eaten at the Fuzzy's in Coralville during Radiothon so I knew a little bit about what they had to offer. Holly and I both had their taco platters that came with two sides. Everything was made fresh and we didn't have to wait long at all for our food.

How was the food? Good enough that I'd go back to Fuzzy's. The tacos didn't reinvent the wheel by any means but they did what a taco should. They tasted good. The rice and beans were also good. Fuzzy's also has a full bar and drink menu. Holly really enjoyed her Fuzzy Driver margarita while I enjoyed a draft beer. The drink prices are very reasonable with her marg only costing five bucks and my beer only two!

Despite the long line to get in, our wait at Fuzzy's was only around 12 minutes. So if you're in the mood for Mexican, give Fuzzy's Cedar Rapids location a try!
