Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers Coming to Marion
A third Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers location is coming to the Cedar Rapids metro area, this time in Marion.
KCRG reports that construction has already begun on the new Freddy's location at 6001 Carlson Way in Marion. That puts it out near the intersection of Highways 13 and 151 on the eastside of Marion. It is near other restaurants like Jersey Mike's and Pizza Ranch.
KCRG reports that the Marion Freddy's location will have seating for up to 78 patrons inside with additional outdoor seating, as well as a drive-thru. The Marion location will join existing Freddy's restaurants on both Blairsferry Road and Edgewood Road in Cedar Rapids, as well as locations in Coralville, Waterloo, and Dubuque.
Freddy's was founded in 2002 in Kansas by brothers Bill and Randy Simon. They named the restaurant in honor of their father. Freddy Simon served in World War II and was awarded both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. His family values and patriotic service to his country is the foundation of what Freddy's is all about.
But what about the food? Freddy's features steakburgers pressed flat with crispy, delicious edges. They're also famous for their shoestring fries with Freddy's fy sauce! Not in the mood for a burger? You can order a chicken sandwich, hot dogs, or chicken tenders instead. Plus, Freddy's features frozen custard and fantastic malts and shakes!
The Marion Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers restaurant is scheduled to open by the Spring of 2025. We can't wait!
