Every Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder during their 'First Responder Friday' segment! The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we're honoring Joe Moore, who was nominated by his daughter! The entry reads:

"I don't know where to start with this, I am not good with words. Joe Moore is my dad. He has been a dedicated firefighter for over 38 years, I believe. 30 of those years have been on Center Point Fire Department, and eight of those years were on Walker Fire, where he served with his dad. Being a firefighter is something he always wanted to do. He loves everything about it: putting the fires out, teaching kids about fire safety, and he also likes to set fires for training purposes... LOL. I really could go on forever about why he deserves this, he has done so much good over his 38 years. He has taught a lot of young bucks, showed a lot of children how to be safe and get out in a fire, and he's saved several people. I hope you choose him.

With love, his daughter"
