Brain & Courtlin’s ‘First Responder Friday’ Honors Dave Septer

Every Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder during their 'First Responder Friday' segment! The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we're honoring Dave Septer, who was nominated by Kathy Septer! The entry reads:

"Dave has been volunteering with the Hills Fire Department for 40 years, and has served as Captain and as an EMR. He went on EMS calls with his wife so she didn't have to go alone. He also participated in area water fights until this year. Dave is now battling stage 4 lung cancer, but still helps out when he can."

We cannot thank Dave enough for his service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his community!
