What’s in your wallet? Isn’t that line used in a commercial?  I think so, anyway, speaking of your wallet and what’s in it.  I’m glad you brought that up because it could be loaded with something you don’t need.   Though, what if you do need that item?  Not sure if you’ve seen “Let’s Make A Deal”, the game show.  They thrive on things in your wallet or purse that should or should not be in there.  Monty Hall was the original host now Wayne Brady has taken over.  It’s a great show but please stop getting me sidetracked on “Let’s Make A Deal”

What's in your wallet?

Back to what’s in your wallet, that should or shouldn’t be. If you’re driving, all 50 states require a license, always be with you. After that, it’s a collection of old receipts, credit cards, coupons, maybe an insurance card, and other stuff that makes it barely close.  The trend is away from thick wallets to slender or even cardholders on the back of your phone but that's a conversation for another day.

The Warning is from the Federal Government

This warning is not from me but from one of Uncle Sam's side projects.  The Social Security Administration.  Remove THIS item from your wallet and not only will the Feds approve but your wallet might fit better in your purse or pocket.   So, before I tell you what that huge item is you're welcome.  The item that will lighten your load is your social security card.  This is from the Social Security Administration:

'We encourage you not to carry your Social Security card with you every day. The best way to “Guard Your Card” is to keep it in a safe place and share it only when required, which is rare. In fact, in most cases, just knowing the Social Security number should be enough. In 49 states and the District of Columbia, a Social Security card isn’t required to request a Real ID. Only Pennsylvania requires it.'
