A New Coral Ridge Mall Store Offers Unique Snacks From Around the World

If your taste buds are craving some interesting new flavors, there's a newly-opened store at Coral Ridge Mall that you're going to want to check out! According to the mall's social media, Exotic Snack Guys is now open!

About Exotic Snack Guys

Exotic Snack Guys is a Chicago-based company that was founded by two friends in 2023. In the years since, they've gone from one location to 50!

The mission at Exotic Snack Guys is fairly simple. The official website reads:

"At Exotic Snack Guys, we believe that tasting snacks from different cultures offers a window into the lives of people around the world. Our carefully curated selection of delightful snacks from 40 different countries allows you to embark on a culinary journey without leaving your neighborhood."

You'll see a lot of familiar brands at Exotic Snack Guys, including Oreo, Lay's, Pepsi, Cheetos, Ritz, Cadbury, KitKat, and Haribo, but there are lots of brands you've probably never even heard of before! And, if you simply can't decide what to try, the store also offers 'Mystery Boxes.' Whether you're looking for chips, chocolate, cookies, candy, or beverages, Exotic Snack Guys has plenty of options.

Iowa Locations

While Exotic Snack Guys is new to the Corridor, it's actually not new to the state of Iowa! The first location here in the Hawkeye State is over at Kennedy Mall in Dubuque, and it first opened its doors in the fall of 2024.

If you want to check out the new Coral Ridge store, it's conveniently located right next to the food court between Target and Chick-Fil-A. Mall hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Other New Mall Additions

Exotic Snack Guys isn't the only new business to open at an area mall in 2026! On the other side of the Food Court is a new vendor called La Fry Co., and they held their soft opening at the end of January.

La Fry Co. specializes in "crafted fried chicken," including boneless wings, jumbo wings, and tenders, which you can order with a sweet fire glaze, cheese powder, avocado yogurt, or sea-salt cheese and onion. For sides, your options are coleslaw, biscuits, fries, jalapeno mac & cheese bites, fried corn, portabella mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese curds. You can check out the full menu below:

For the final new mall addition, we move from Coralville to Cedar Rapids. A popular Coral Ridge food vendor by the name of I Love Mochi has officially opened a second location in the Lindale Mall Food Court!

I Love Mochi began welcoming customers for their soft opening on February 27th, and they were so popular that they SOLD OUT of food that day! The stand offers Korean corn dogs, Korean-style chicken, mochi donuts, mochi ice cream, and specialty drinks. You can check them out during regular mall hours, which are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday & Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
