Eric Paslay Displays His Dance Skills at Country Radio Seminar [Watch]
Eric Paslay fans know he is a good singer and songwriter — but do they know he has moves? P The artist sang at UMG’s CRS (Country Radio Seminar) luncheon at the Ryman Auditorium on Feb. 9 and earned a standing ovation after his performance of “High Class,” which he took as an opportunity to show off his killer dance skills.
After thanking the radio programmers, broadcasters and journalists in the audience for the opportunity to create a sophomore record, he began the tune, which is the lead-off single from the album. Unhindered by a guitar, Paslay made good use of the stage with wireless mic in hand, shaking it to the upbeat country song. The event also included hitmakers Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and Eric Church, not to mention Paslay's cohorts Charles Kelley and Dierks Bentley, who joined him for a performance of Kelley’s “The Driver,” which they recorded together.
Paslay’s upcoming record does not yet have a release date or name, but it will reportedly include a duet with Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, titled "Takin’ My Heart Higher,” in addition to “High Class.” The first single is available for download on iTunes.
The singer had a big year last year, not just in music — he married long time girlfriend Natalie Harker in April 2015. He also released his first Grammy-nominated song. "The Driver" is up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the upcoming awards on Feb. 15.
