One of McDonald's slogans is "I'm lovin' it." Well, fans of the fast-food giant do not love what they got from McDonald's quarter-pounder hamburgers. Sick.

The Des Moines Register reports that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced Tuesday that they are investigating an E.coli outbreak that has been linked to Quarter Pounder burgers at McDonald's restaurants. The CDC says that at least 49 people have gotten sick across 10 states, including Iowa. 10 people have been hospitalized and one person has died.

The Register reports that the majority of illnesses have been reported in Colorado and Nebraska, but cases have also been reported as far West as Oregon and as far East as Wisconsin. Iowa has one reported case so far according to the CDC. The Register says that the exact ingredient has yet to be confirmed, but McDonald's says that an initial investigation found some illnesses tied to onions from a supplier that serves three McDonald's distribution centers.
