Eastern Iowa Restaurants that Opened, Reopened, or Relocated in 2021

Between the pandemic and the derecho, it's been a tough road for Eastern Iowa restaurants this past year and a half. That's why we've been so excited to see so many new places opening up!

Over the course of the last 11 months, the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City areas have seen the addition of plenty of new restaurants, as well as restaurants that have reopened, relocated, or opened new locations. We did our best to come up with as many of these restaurants (no bakeries, coffee shops, or ice cream shops) as we could, and compile them into one list.
