Dwight Yoakam is bringing that famous Bakersfield sound back to Cedar Rapids!

No one else sounds like Dwight Yoakam. His sound is a mixture of honky tonk, rock, country, and of course that Bakersfield sound. He is an ACM Award winner. A two-time Grammy winner. His first three albums all reached number one on the Billboard Country Albums chart. And his hit singles are part of the soundtrack of country music in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Songs like Honky Tonk Man, Guitars, Cadillacs, A Thousand Miles From Nowhere, and Fast as You. Simply put, there is no one else like Dwight Yoakam.

Joining Dwight Yoakam in Cedar Rapids will be the country band The Mavericks. Led by outstanding lead vocalist Raul Malo, The Mavericks burst onto the country scene in the early 1990s with albums like What a Crying Shame, and Music for All Occasions. They charted hit singles including What a Crying Shame, There Goes My Heart, Here Comes the Rain, and All You Ever Do is Bring Me Down.

Dwight Yoakam and The Mavericks will bring their unique country music sounds to Cedar Rapids on Friday, March 28th, 2025 at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena in downtown Cedar Rapids! Tickets will go on sale next Friday, November 22nd at 10 a.m.

However, there will also be a special KHAK presale for this show on Thursday, November 21st! Make sure and subscribe to our newsletter and sign up for concert/event alerts on the 98.1 KHAK app to get the presale info sent to you!
