Dustin Lynch's "Good Girl" is his first No. 1 as a songwriter, which is exciting since it's a new milestone, but it's not a total surprise.

"We were all just so sure about this song from the beginning. We only had the track down and we knew it was something special," Lynch admitted at a No. 1 party for the song, held this week at Nashville's Hi-Fi Clyde’s on Church.

"I want to thank these two guys up here (Albert and Ebach) for getting up on day three after a long night on the bus ready to write, because that’s what leads to moments like this," he adds.

Dustin Lynch Was a Bit of a Charmer in His Teen Years

Even more cause for a celebration, Lynch's current single, “Ridin’ Roads,” hit country radio on Monday (March 25) after arriving on radio playlists as the No. 1 most-added song of the week, with 46 stations on board playing the track. The song is honest, as it focuses on Lynch's relaxing lifestyle in his home of Tullahoma, Tenn.

This summer, Lynch will leave home to hit the road with Thomas Rhett on the Canadian Life Changes Tour. He'll join Rhett once again for the U.S. dates of the Very Hot Summer Tour alongside Rhett Akins and Russell Dickerson. That tour kicks off in Spokane on May 17 and travels most weekends in June and July before a concentrated effort in August and September.
