Dogs Forever Has Teamed Up With Kathy’s Pies for a Fundraiser

Wanna help out a local animal rescue and enjoy some dessert at the same time? Here's your chance! Dogs Forever in Cedar Rapids has once again teamed up with Kathy's Pies for an annual fundraiser.

Dogs Forever is a volunteer-run animal rescue in Cedar Rapids that does amazing work. Their website says they are "dedicated to rescuing homeless, abused, and neglected dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages with a special emphasis on those deemed “hard-to-place”. As an Adoption Guarantee shelter, all dogs will stay in our care until we have found their forever homes." We work closely with Dogs Forever for our Furry Friday segment on KHAK, so we know first-hand just how wonderful they are.

The 9th Annual Dogs Forever/Kathy's Pies Fundraiser is one of the biggest of the year for Dog's Forever. For 2020 they have a goal of selling 1,000 pies. The pies, supplied by Kathy's, are pre-baked and 9". They are $15 a piece and these are the flavors available:

• Pumpkin
• Rhubarb
• Strawberry Rhubarb
• Toll House
• Triple Berry

You can purchase your pies via one of the pie-selling volunteers or through the mail by September 20th. If you prefer to order by mail, please include your name, address, and phone number, as well as your payment (cash or check). The address is:
