It seems like there's no end to the heartache Danielle Bradbery sang about in tracks like "Human Diary" and "Messy" from her 2017 sophomore album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met. The 22-year-old singer has followed those with a blistering music video for her Thomas Rhett-supported version of "Goodbye Summer."

The song, co-penned by Rhett, Julian Bunetta, Jaren Johnston and Rhett Akins, originally appeared on Bradbery's 2017 LP, but she later re-linked with Rhett to rework it in a more maudlin style. Their collaboration released Aug. 2 via Big Machine Records.

Its video starts by introducing a romantic narrative: two characters meet and get drinks, with interstitial clips of Bradbery singing on the beach. Things take a turn in the second verse, which Rhett takes on with his characteristic sonorous croon. The characters get more involved, eventually confronting the end of summer and, we assume, going their separate ways.

The video was filmed in October in Rosemary Beach, Fla,. which was struck by Category 4 Hurricane Michael shortly after they had wrapped. Bradbery has partnered with the Rosemary Beach Foundation to help with relief efforts for the affected area.

Rhett will hold onto that summer feeling into the new year, as he's just announced his 2019 Very Hot Summer Tour dates. Bradbery hits the road with Kane Brown in January.
