Courtlin’s Ten Favorite Country Songs of 2023 [LISTEN]
Now that we're in the final month of the year, I've been taking a look back at some of the great music that was released over the course of the last 12 months. I put together a list with ten of my favorite country songs of 2023, but it was NOT easy to narrow it down!
Before we get to my list, I want to share with you a few rules that I followed. Number one, I only included ONE song from each artist (featured artists don't count!), despite how difficult it was. I could've include five Chris Stapleton songs and five Zach Bryan songs, but what fun is that? Rule number two was that they had to be ORIGINAL songs. My apologies to "Fast Car" by Luke Combs. And, rule number three was that the song had to be released on an album that came out in 2023. That eliminated quite a few songs from my list, including Lainey Wilson's "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" and Chayce Beckham's "23."
In no particular order, here are my ten favorite country songs of the year:
"I Remember Everything" - Zach Bryan & Kacey Musgraves
"The Fire" - Chris Stapleton
"I'm in Love" - Hailey Whitters
"World on Fire" - Nate Smith
"Penthouse" - Kelsea Ballerini
"Some Horses" - Old Dominion
"Women Ain't Whiskey" - Ashley McBryde
"Everything I Love" - Morgan Wallen
"We Don’t Fight Anymore" - Carly Pearce (Feat. Chris Stapleton)
"Truck Bed" - Hardy
Honorable mentions include:
- "Where the Wild Things Are" - Luke Combs
- "Religiously" - Bailey Zimmerman
- "We Should Get Married" - Dan + Shay
- "Might As Well Be Me" - Brothers Osborne
- "Creek Will Rise" - Conner Smith
- "Ghost in My Guitar" - Alana Springsteen & Chris Stapleton
